Carol Chen Poun Joe Born on 11th of March 1989 in Paramaribo, Suriname.
At the age of 3 she started to draw and was discovered as a burgeoning talent when she was 16 years old. Consequently, she started private lessons in drawing and painting with the Surinamese artist Cliff San A Jong. Through these intense lessons and studies of the classical masters, she managed to develop
She did many exhibitions in Suriname
Her first solo exhibition started at the age of 19 (2008 till now)
and one in New York in 2013
